Boosting Conversions with Skincare Listing Optimisation

An established skincare client was seeing very low conversions after upgrading their product photography on a new website.

Drawing on our print industry experience, we recognised that photographing packaging printed in four-colour process had introduced visible artefacts, making the otherwise bright and bold design look muted and dull.

We selected a range of products for A/B testing on the eBay channel, comparing lifestyle shots with white-background pack shots to see which drove more engagement in this category. Pack shots proved the clear winner, so we 3D-rendered the original packaging artwork to create clean, high-impact images. This significantly increased click-throughs and conversions, while lifestyle shots remained as supporting images.

Additional optimisation of titles, descriptions, and additional infographics boosted further engagement. The end result was a sharper, brighter, more premium product presentation.
